Understand own abilities and strengths, set clear goals

Setting clear and challenging goals, training with hard work, giving the best, understanding your own strengths, and formulating the most appropriate strategy, all laid the foundation for Siobhan to win the medal in the Olympic Women's 200m Freestyle.

Siobhan was interviewed after the game: "Five years ago, I stopped in the semi-finals. At that time, I hoped to be able to enter the finals next time. After that, I placed 5th in the 200m of the 2017 World Championships and placed 4th in the 2019 World Championships. Every time I narrowly missed out a medal."

In order to win a medal in this Olympics, Siobhan set a clear goal in training. "When I first started training, I hoped that I could swim to 1.53 minutes. Now that I swam this result and also won a medal..."

In addition to setting clear goals, Siobhan also understands her own abilities and advantages, and formulated the most suitable strategy in the competition: "I know that I am a short-speed 100m and 200m freestyle player, so I must swim fast at the beginning. Many swimmers who participated in this event are 200m and 400m players...so they will swim faster than me in the last 50m or 100m, I just focus on my own pace."

Have you set some clear and challenging goals? Setting goals and working hard to move forward will not only make your life more meaningful and energetic, but also make impossible possible.
